I know of some friends and relatives who practiced some form of tai chi and believe that it is a good activity to improve a person¡¦s health. A friend recommended me to try the Wu style tai chi chuan at Hong Kong Street. I was very lucky to have Ms Saw Phaik Hwa and Mr. Goon Ark Leau as my instructors and after the first few classes; my interest in tai chi has increased. I was amazed by what tai chi can do. I was previously under the impression that it was an art that old folks who cannot do other strenuous exercise do. Besides improving my health, I am also interested in it as a form of self-defense after seeing what it can do. |
