Chief Instructor at the Wu's Tai Chi Chuan Academy, Toronto, Canada
I started training with Grand Master Eddie Wu Kwong Yu in 1986, after a number of years in hard style. When I first visited his club I was struck by the depth of knowledge in Wu Style, and the sincerity and openness of the Master Wu.
I started teaching a few years later and have been teaching continually since then. Instruction sharpens your understanding and forces you to question your knowledge. And when I don’t know the answers to those questions Gate Keeper (Grand Master Eddie Wu) can point the way. I have taught many forms and techniques across the breadth of Wu Style, but the heart of the discipline is the standard form and push hands. The standard form is a treasure box of jewels to work on and make your own. And push hands is the gateway to using that knowledge in your interaction with others.
I have found this knowledge to be invaluable in my life. Not just in martial arts, but in mental and physical health, and in finding a balance. I hope to pass on this knowledge so that others can benefit from it as well.
