Daniel Marchwinski began studying Tai Chi Chuan with the late Sifu Stephen Britt in 2003. In 2006 he became a disciple of Sifu Steve. Daniel spent the next 6 years working hard under the watchful eye of his sifu, as well as assisting him in his teaching. After Sifu Britt's passing, Daniel continued training with his fellow disciples and his sisok, Sifu Michael Ashmore. In 2014, Daniel began receiving instruction regularly from Sikung Eddie Wu Kwong-yu.

Daniel has taught seniors' classes at St. John Providence Health System's Conner Creek facility, the City of Berkley, Michigan, Community Center and classes for the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. He played an integral role in establishing the Wu's Tai Chi Chuan Academy Detroit's new location; including developing the class schedule, membership structure, and other key elements of day to day operation. Daniel currently teaches Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level classes every week at the Wu's Tai Chi Chuan Academy Detroit.

Daniel is also the Detroit Academy's de facto graphic and web designer.
